About Shutter For Change
Shutter For Change is a creative and social movement that uses photography, art, storytelling, and visual culture to inspire national transformation, promote unity, and heal collective trauma in Nigeria and across Africa.
We believe that images are more than memories. They are powerful tools for human connection, emotional healing, social awareness, and cultural rebirth. A single photograph can preserve history, restore dignity, challenge injustice, awaken empathy, and inspire hope.
Nigeria is a nation filled with extraordinary beauty, resilience, creativity, and human potential. Yet, like many societies, we also carry deep collective wounds caused by poverty, division, violence, corruption, inequality, and generations of disappointment. These experiences shape how people see themselves, each other, and the future of the nation.
Shutter For Change exists to help transform that story.
Through photography, documentaries, public art, storytelling projects, creative campaigns, and community engagement, we seek to create spaces where Nigerians can see one another beyond tribe, religion, class, or political difference. We aim to strengthen a shared sense of humanity, belonging, and national identity.
We believe healing is not only political or economic , it is also emotional, cultural, and psychological. Nations heal when people begin to feel seen, heard, valued, and connected again.

Nigerian lawyer, photographer, writer, and visual storyteller. Founder and Creative Director of Shutter For Change , a visual advocacy movement using photography to heal collective trauma and strengthen national identity.
Born in Benin City, trained in Marketing at Auchi Polytechnic and Law at Ambrose Alli University and the Nigerian Law School, his work sits at the intersection of art, advocacy, and social change.
