Culture
Nigeria is not one country , it is two hundred and fifty countries pretending, on most days, to be one. That pretence is also our gift. Nowhere on earth is so much human variety packed into a single flag.
The fabric of Aso-Oke, the smoke of a Suya grill at midnight, the call to prayer over Kano, the church drums of Enugu, the masquerade of Osun , culture is the language we speak before we learn to speak.
We photograph culture not as museum pieces, but as living things. Things that change, mix, argue with each other, and somehow keep dancing.
There is no New Nigeria without remembering the old ones we are made of.
