The Sound of a Generation Awake
Protest
October 2020 changed Nigeria. A generation that had been told it was apathetic stood in the rain, held up its phones, and refused to look away. End SARS was not just a protest , it was a country recognising its own voice.
We carry these images not to glorify pain, but to honour courage. Every flag raised, every candle lit, every name spoken aloud is a vote against forgetting.
Protest is the oldest form of citizenship. To photograph it is to say: this happened, this mattered, this must not be undone.
The toll gate is not just a place. It is a date on the calendar of a country waking up.
