Women

Nigerian women are the most undocumented power on the continent. They run the markets, raise the leaders, march the streets, and hold the moral weight of a country in their hands.

This collection honours the market women of Kano, the protest leaders of Lagos, the mothers of Lekki, the farmers of Benue, the teachers of Enugu , every woman who refused to be smaller than her dream.

When women march, nations move. We photograph that movement so it cannot be erased from memory.

There is no New Nigeria without the women already building it. There never was.
