The Country That Prays
Faith
Whether in cathedral, mosque, or shrine, Nigeria is a nation on its knees and on its feet at the same time. Faith here is not abstract , it is breakfast, it is the morning commute, it is the last word spoken before sleep.
We document faith as a public good and a private fire. The Friday prayer in Sokoto, the Sunday choir in Lagos, the Orisa festival in Osun , all of it, equally, ours.
Faith does not solve Nigeria. But it explains, in part, why Nigeria has not yet given up on itself.
A nation that still believes is a nation still possible.
