How We Keep Standing
Resilience
Resilience is the most Nigerian word in the English language. It is what we do when the lights go out, when the rain floods the road, when the price doubles overnight. We adjust. We continue. We laugh.
The farmer who plants again. The trader who reopens the kiosk. The student who walks ten kilometres to school. The mother who feeds seven on the budget of three.
We photograph this resilience not as suffering, but as engineering. It is a kind of genius the world has not yet learned to measure.
If you ever doubt this country, remember: Nigeria has survived everything it has survived. That is not luck. That is its people.
