Unity

Unity is not the absence of difference. It is the decision to build a roof wide enough for every difference to stand under. Nigeria has never been simple. That is precisely what makes it possible.

We photograph the small, ordinary unities: the Hausa man buying garri from the Igbo woman, the Yoruba doctor treating the Fulani child, the Christian student lending notes to the Muslim friend.

These are not exceptions. They are the rule the headlines forget to print.

A New Nigeria is not built on slogans. It is built on the thousand quiet refusals of ordinary people to hate each other today.
